Meet the person behind Star Tuition

Hi! My name is Talha Laher and I am the person behind ‘Star Tuition.’ I decided to set up ‘Star Tuition’ after building up my confidence tutoring primary and secondary school children at schools across West Yorkshire. I’m very confident at what I do and I’m always smiling because I love my job! I tutor students who are working at levels KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4 in schools (children who are in primary and secondary schools).

Every parent has a choice whether or not to send their child to private tuition or not. So who decides if they actually need extra tuition? Well for starters the school that your child attends. The school will be able to provide you with levels and target grades for your child and this will indicate whether they are under achieving, on target or over achieving.

"My advice to you would be to do some background research first. This would involve taking some time finding out about your child’s targets and goals."

If you think your child is under achieving or your child just isn’t confident enough then you might decide that you want to send them for private tuition. You won’t be signing your life away if one day you wake up and think ‘alright, I’m sending my son or daughter for extra tutoring because he/she just seems to struggle so much with homework.’ My advice to you would be to do some background research first. This would involve taking some time finding out about your child’s targets and goals. What do they want to achieve in the long run? Are those targets your child is setting for themselves achievable? How long do you think they will need to achieve those targets? How long have they got in order for them to achieve those targets?

If I was to carry on I’d be here all day. If you have a lot of spare time on your hands you could do all the research yourself or if you just want a bit of friendly advice and want to make life that little bit less stressful you can contact me directly and I will be happy to help and I will go through with you some of the most vital areas to consider before deciding whether private tuition is going to increase your child’s overall academic potential.
